This page helps you quickly identify and resolve issues you may encounter with both Revolve and Evolve ovens. Please also consult the user manual delivered with more details and instructions for the ovens.
Troubleshooting
Why does my Revolve suddenly drop in gas flow or low flame?
Common reason: Out of gas
- Check to see if the propane tank is empty
- Turn the coupling nut about one-half to three quarters additional turn until solid stop. Tighten by hand only - do not use tools
- Clear burner tube
- Re-engage burner and valve
- Check steps in assembly instructions
Why does my Revolve not ignite?
Solution 1: Several ignition attempts
It may be necessary to attempt ignition several times to allow the gas flow to stabilize, similar to the process with gas barbecues.
- When igniting the oven, ensure you wait until you hear the sound of gas flowing before turning the knob and engaging the ignition mechanism.
- If the flame does not remain lit, please follow this procedure: Turn the control knob to the "Ignite" position and hold it for 5 seconds. Without releasing the knob, adjust it to the "Low" setting. Once set to "Low," release the knob.

Solution 2: Detach and re-apply the igniting knob
Ensure the gas supply to the oven is completely turned off to avoid any accidental ignition.
- Gently pull the ignition knob straight off. This should expose a square-shaped metal shaft (the “counterpart”) beneath.
- Check that the shaft is clean and not worn down or obstructed. If dirty, gently clean it with a dry cloth.
- Using pliers or an appropriately sized tool, carefully turn the square shaft as the ignition knob would until it clicks
- Turn it back to the default off position
- Align the knob with the shaft carefully and press it back on. It should fit snugly without forcing, don't push it too hard.
- Turn the gas supply back on. Test the ignition knob to ensure it clicks and lights the burner as expected. Note that you may need a few tries for the ignition after reinserting the knob.
What to do if the flame dies while the oven is on?
Common Causes: High or gusting winds; Low propane gas level
Solution 1: Adjust Oven Position for Wind Conditions
- Turn the front of the oven away from the direction of the wind to shield the flame. If necessary, use a windbreak or relocate the oven to a more sheltered area.
Solution 2: Check and Refill Propane Tank
- If the propane tank is low or empty, refill or replace the tank promptly.
Solution 3: Check for Other Gas Flow Issues
- If the above steps do not resolve the issue, the problem may be related to a sudden drop in gas flow. Refer to the "Suddenly Drop in Gas Flow" section in the troubleshooting guide for further instructions.
What to do if my oven flares up?
Common Causes: grease buildup; excessive fat in meat; excessive cooking temperature; excess flour on the cooking surface
Solution 1: Clean the oven regularly
- Grease or food residue buildup can ignite. Ensure the oven interior, stone, and surfaces are free from debris.
Solution 2: Trim excess fats from meat
- Fatty meats can drip grease onto the heat source, causing flames. Trim fats before cooking.
Solution 3: Adjust (lower) the temperature Excessive heat may ignite oils or residues.
- Reduce the temperature to avoid flare-ups.
Solution 4: Brush excess flour from the cooking surface
- Residual flour on pizzas or surfaces can combust. Dust off thoroughly before baking.
Solution 5: Flip the stone
- If flare-ups persist, flipping the stone may provide a cleaner surface.
What to do if it flashes back? (fire in burner tube, roaring sound from burner)
Common causes: Burner and/or burner tubes are blocked; Pressure drop during ingition
Important note: Please turn off the gas immediately and allow the appliance to cool completely before inspection.
Solution 1: Clean & Restart
- Turn gas knob OFF.
- Let oven cool. Clean burner tube (use brush/compressed air).
- Ensure burner is properly seated.
- Fully open tank valve. Relight.
Solution 2: Full System Check
- Turn off oven, ensure the tank valve is fully open (if applicable), and relight.
What to do when the revolving center stone does not turn?
Common Causes: Motor switch on the bottom of the oven is OFF.; Motor has run out of batteries; The wingnut connecting the metal plate to the axle is loose.
- Turn the switch on the motor to ON.
- Install new batteries on the battery compartment of the motor.
- Carefully remove the stone and tighten the wing nut on the metal plate.
